moving on to bintan

I woke up this morning to a really big shock. I am expected in my new village tomorrow and
- I'm still in KL today;
- my shopping assignment is only halfway through;
- I haven't planned my day in Singapore.

I've got to arrive in Singapore as early as 8.30 am to submit my passport for visa purposes. Any later and I can't collect it on the same day; also means the company has to spring for a night of stay in a hotel. Then I've gotta go off to catch 8.15pm ferry to Singapore.

Dramamine pour moi? -.-

ps: on top of all that, I've got to organise my claims and keep check of all my expenses. God knows I'm bad with filing details!!! Aarghh!!!

leaving Phuket

As sudden as I arrived, I'll be leaving this island I have come to love and called home for 3 months. What started off as 1 month to substitute my colleagues who would leave for holiday quickly became 2 and then 3 months.

I couldn't wish for a better way to spend the last 3 months. The locals I am in contact with are very personable and awesome! Then there is the sun and sand, the beautiful bar and the huge village! Compared to Kani and Kabira, this is my biggest village so far and I can't wait to see what Ria Bintan looks like!

Time to go back to packing and laundering. So many things to do, so little time. That is always the case :P

we're like chocolate and brandy...

I found someone very special after I left Malaysia for 3 months. We spent a year together in Kani, Maldives. Thereafter, I moved on to Kabira, Japan and he to Ria Bintan, Indonesia.Although we are currently apart and have been so for the most of this year, the love hasn't waned.We have our moments of exasperation and intense fights over the phone but all's good. Splendid, even.Let's hope things stay this way.Here's to my sayang...

my first time

It's been a while since I last had a blog. This should work out fine now as I can see my 2 gypsy years coming to an end pretty soon. Plenty has happened and I won't be running out of subjects.

In the words of my girlfriend Avril... 'Remember, you set out to find the substitute of the stuff you didn't have back here. You came back with more joy that you bargained.'

I couldn't have put it better myself.

Tomorrow, I shall load pictures and blog about what I've been upto since I left Malaysia :)
